Panorama

This is my panorama i took in the vineyard. i took the photos in portrait orientation so this image is made up of i think 10 seperate shots! They were all take on a tripod. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out :)

HDR Image

I don't think my HDR worked out so well, i don't know if i was doing something wrong or if it was just the subject matter? Anyway i tried it in photoshop as well but that looked even more horrible!

Second Calibration

Looks kinda better than the last one. . .

Photoshop Presentation

For my technique i decided to do some glamour retouching/airbrushing.
Here's the image i started with:
The first thing i decided to do was to change the shape of her eyebrow. I did this by using the lasso tool to create a selection of the eyebrow, then right clicked and selected layer via copy. i then made the eyebrow into a smart object, so i wouldn't lose any quality while getting it to the right shape. i used the warp tool to manipulate the eyebrow to the shape i wanted. Then i used the eraser tool to get rid of the lines made by the selection and the clone tool to remove any parts of the eyebrow i didn't want. I then repeated this process to make her nose smaller and her lips bigger. Here's the result:I then decided to change the colour of her lips. I did this by using a colour balance adjustment layer with a layer mask to apply it only to her lips. i then fiddled around until i got the colour where i liked it. Here's the result:
The next step was to smooth out her skin. First i went over with the heal tool to remove any obvious spots or freckles etc. I made a copy of the background then selected Filter>Blur>Surface and set the Radius to 49 and the threshold to 123. i turned the layer opacity down to 50%. I then held down Alt and clicked on the add vector mask option. I then selected the brush tool and painted on the areas that i wanted smoothed out, being careful to avoid any edges etc. Here's the result:The next step was to change her eye colour. I used the elliptical marquee tool to select just her irises. by holding down shift & alt i was able to keep it a perfect circle. I copied these onto a new layer using layer via copy. I then made a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer with a clipping mask so that the changes would only apply to the eyes, and again just fiddled around until i got the colour i was after. Here's the result:

First Monitor Calibration

Our first calibration went pretty well, the graph shows all of the lines are pretty straight, don't know what's happening with the weird bits down the bottom!
